OBITUARY

Thelma Yorty Hill, 79, of Beallsville, died at 5:30 p.m. Sunday Mary 9, 1986, in Brownsville General Hospital.
            She was born February 15, 1907, in Centerville Borough, a daughter of Norman and Tryphena Scott Yorty.
            She was a member of the Beallsville United Methodist church, the Joy Bearers Sunday School Class, and the United Methodist Women.  Mrs. Hill was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star of California, and the Old Trails BPW.
            She was a graduate of the Centerville High School and California Normal School, and had taught in the Bentleyville school system.
            On July 8, 1931, she married Frank R. Hill, who died on August 32, 1984.
            Surviving are two sons, Jack R. Hill of Beallsville, and William Y. Hill of Houston; a foster son, John Colvin of Zolfa Spring, Fla.; a brother George Yorty of St. Petersburg, Fla.; a sister, Mrs. Thomas (Helen) Montgomery of Huntingdon, W. Va.; four grandsons, Jack R. Hill, Jr. of San Antonio, Texas, Thomas Hill of Beallsville, and William Y. Hill, Jr. and Robert A. Hill; both of Houston; three-granddaughters, Christy Rohrer of Fredricktown R.D.1, Mary Zuchowski of Beallsville, and Jill R. Hill of Reading, and four great-grandchildren.
            Two brothers, Jess Yorty and Raymond Yorty, and three sisters, Sara Robison, Dorothy Moffitt and Vera Buckingham, are deceased.
