OBITUARY

Albert N. (Abe) Cox, 65, of Chestnut Ridge Road, Washington R.D.8., died of a heart attack Sunday, March 9, 1986, in his home.
            He was born September 11, 1920, in Washington, a son of John N. and Bertha Mae Allen Cox.
            Mr. Cox was Protestant.
            He had attended Wolfdale Schools and had attended the West Bethlehem Township High School.
            He was an automotive mechanic for Falconi Ford which was later Imperatore Ford.  Previously he had been employed by Crile Metallizing.  Mr. Cox was last employed by G.G.N.C. Bus Line.  He had operated a school bus in the Chestnut Ridge area until his retirement in 1984.
            On June 23, 1956, he married Edith Aldene Myers, who survives.  The couple had resided for 21 ½ years at their Chestnut Ridge address.
            Surviving, in addition to his wife, are three sons, Edwin N. Cox, Randy A. Cox and David L. Cox, all at home; one daughter, Amy E. Cox at home; two brothers, John L. Cox and Richard Cox, both of Washington R.D.8; three sisters, Mrs. Margaret Shipe of Washington R.D.8, Mrs. Ellen Pitzer of Rogers, Ohio, and Mrs. Betty Fordyce of Amity R.D.1; several nieces and nephews.
            One brother, Ralph Cox is deceased.
           
COX – funeral announcement
            Friends of Albert N. (Abe) Cox of Chestnut Ridge Road, Washington R.D.8. who died Sunday, March 9, 1985, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the Nichol funeral Home 1873 East maiden Street Washington, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday March 12 with the Rev. James s. Durlsser, pastor of Scenery Hill United Methodist church officiating.  Burial in Beallsville Cemetery.
